Some history about us
January 2008 marks iforte’s successful 6th years in business and still growing. How time flies ! Some flashbacks comes to mind on how we started the company, how it progress, the success, pitfalls, difficult customers, interesting candidates and some candid moments.

As a start, how do u pronounce 'forte' ? Very often I heard people pronounced it as "ford". Yup !! You guessed it right, sounded like the automobile name pronunciation. Some will pronounce it as the combat "fort". Also, interesting enough, some even asked whether it's a french word. I always asked them to check the English dictionary.

Anyway, in order not to mislead any further, it is pronounced as "for" + "teh".

When I and my partner started the company, we were looking for a meaningful word to represent the business that we were in. Well, we are in IT recruitment business, so the word forte comes naturally to mind representing a person's strengths or skill sets.

We have also figured out that forte may have been registered by someone else. And thus, we decided to put an "i" together with forte. The letter "i" signifies Information Technology. Put it together, we have "iFORTE", a company specializing in IT professionals’ recruitment. Make sense and a bit glamour ! To put a sense of corporate touch, a tagline was created. “human energy into information technology”

Identity founded. We are ready to go.
iFORTE commenced operations on 2nd January 2002. The entrepreneur journey now officially begins.
